Another laid off worker, who asked to be known as Mary, said: “You cannot imagine how hard it is for us. Everyone here needs the money to survive. We have to pay our rent. The rent is £80 a week. How can we buy food? Sometimes we don't have money to pay our bills. I pray. I don't eat steak, I eat bread.“I hope, and everyone hopes, this situation isn't going to go on very long.
